By adding in the spatial dimension to the mix it means that, in addition to the age range of the pupils (ie. primary, secondary etc.) and their socio-demographics (eg. gender, ethnicity, free school meal entitlement erc.), the results of the STHC analysis can also be reported (ie. "sliced-and-diced") in terms of all sorts of standard geographies such as:-
- electoral areas such as local authority wards or national parliamentary constituenciess
- health board areas
- census output areas (both medium and super output areas).
